I read this somewhere, at some other time - if you know who wrote it, let me know :)
On grief:
It transforms how we move through the world. What we value, how we connect and where we find meaning. It can make us more empathetic, allow us to slow down, make space for connection and reflection. Grief forces us to rebuild ourselves around the loss, and with that integration we might discover unexpected: strength, purpose, clarity.
Sometimes, survival IS the purpose - grief isn’t a lesson, it doesn’t owe us purpose. Yet over time, small connections, creativity and presence can help us build a sense of authentic meaning.
